The Spirit of an Agency
These photographs were commissioned by a friend, Arnaud Vannes Kanouté, to document the transformation of one of his real estate agencies, ERA Jourdain, located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.
What particularly appealed to me about this project was much more than a simple transformation; it was the very idea that drives it, which motivated me to get involved in this mission.
My task was not limited to capturing images before and after the work, but to highlight the essence of this place, steeped in a beautiful family history.
Before being a real estate agency, this place was a shop belonging to his great-grandmother, having gone through several evolutions.
One of the goals of this project was to bring out the soul of this space, the character of its origins hidden under different layers, while integrating a contemporary touch.
Another wish dear to my friend was to transform this place into a space that values Art and to promote the creation or recreation of human links in a positive and constructive spirit. By understanding the vision of this project and the origins of this agency, I was able to immerse myself in the atmosphere of this place, which enriched my work as a photographer.
My attention naturally fell on details such as the magnificent original floor tiles and the superb stone wall, which bring a personal and unique touch to this space.
I would like to thank Arnaud for specifically asking me for this project and I congratulate us on the exhibition and the wonderful meetings that took place during the reopening of the agency!
I encourage you to visit the agency from time to time, as exhibitions of various artists will be regularly organized there.
